Golden Milk Ti Kuan Yin from Todd & Holland

What of the great things about drinking tea
is there seems to be endless options.
Boredom is unlikely.
The longer you drink tea
and more teas you try,
you begin refining you palate.
Just like wine.

One of the negatives of this is,
just like wine,
one tends to start preferring the more expensive options.

I’m beginning to appreciate oolongs
and Yunnan black teas
which tend to make a dent in my pocket.
I keep telling myself I will only drink them
when I truly savor and appreciate it,
justifying the purchase.

This oolong is lovely,
both in flavor and color.

It actually looks like a wine.
What I find fascinating is the leaves are rolled up
and once exposed to water they unfurl
and you see the entire leaf is brewing.
