Tomato season is upon us.
I plant these sungolds every year.
I just love how the color graduates down the line,
revealing when they are ripe.
Favorite way to prepare them:
Rinse cherry tomatoes.
Place in a bowl, a container with a lid is even better.
Sprinkle kosher salt over top.
Toss and let the water remaining from the rinsing
melt the salt into a salt water glaze.
Heavenly!

Love the sun golds. They are the only tomatoes I have right now that don't have blossom end rot. And the taste is heavenly....
You are making my mouth water! Ok on the calendar for next year...I must begin growing my own vegetables!
Growing your own vegetables is such a rewarding and fasinating process. And the taste... the freshness of picking and eating immediately makes an amazing difference in the flavor.
One of my tomato plants has blossom rot as well. I think it's the enormous downpours of rain we been experiencing. Really hoping I can get a few tomatoes out that plant.
