For years I’ve wanted to use lavender
in baking/ cooking but I’ve never done it.
I think I was worried I would use the wrong type of lavender.
This summer I took the plunge
and used my hidecote lavender as flavoring
for a strawberry sauce and blueberry jam.

one of my favorite new books.
Next year I’ll have to make many more jars,
it's that good.
