What I learned....

Preserving the Bounty - Ginger Pear Preserves
For years I’ve wanted to learn to can. I finally took a class given by the Wicker Park Garden Club, the lecturer was Dina Petrakis.

Had a great time and immediately tried it out at home. My first attempt was a Ginger Pear Preserve. First batch scorched…second batch turned out great. Fun times ahead!

Popped one in the mail to my aunt in California.
